The event will begin on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and will last until 9:00 p.m.
Boardman Park will be celebrating its 75th birthday and is inviting the community to join in the festivities at its Community Birthday Bash event on Saturday, August 27.
The original 72 acres of Boardman Park were donated to Boardman Township by William F. Maag Jr. in 1947. Maag was the editor and publisher of The Vindicator from 1924 until his death in 1968. He also started and operated 21 WFMJ and its former radio station. station
The event will start on Saturday at 17:00 and will last until 21:00. There will be a variety of events and activities including live music, face painting, bounce houses, fireworks and more.

– Children’s area in the grass area with summer kitchen
– Inflatable obstacle course
– Table Herb Guild Ladies
– Joe Sullivan the Balloon Man (17:00 to 18:30)
– Chick-Fil-A and Boardman Spartan mascots
– Joe Sullivan Magic Show (18:30 to 19:30)
– Live music by Rudy & the Professionals (19:30 to 21:00)
– Free birthday cake and hot dogs (while supplies last)
– Sale of Friends of Boardman Park t-shirts
Event sponsors include Boardman Subaru, Aqua Ohio, Armstrong and the Boardman Township Trustees.
