The Best Place for Kids!, a public-private partnership focused on ensuring that every child in Fort Worth is on a path to learning and life success, launched the Parent Pass application for Fort Worth families.
The Parent Pass app is the first app of its kind designed by parents, for parents, to provide the information and resources you need as parents in Fort Worth, all in one place.
Parents and caregivers residing in Fort Worth can download the Parent Pass app for free from the App Store or Google Play and watch a tutorial on how to use the application.
The app includes a multitude of free resources for parents, including a local child care finder, learning resources for kids 0-18, family events, neighborhood giveaways, and more.
The app allows parents to connect with other parents in Fort Worth and have access to educational opportunities and resources for families and children from birth through high school. Parent Pass includes these features:
Local child care finder. Calendar of activities and free programs in the neighborhood. Free mental health and wellness resources. Children’s learning activities and resources at home. Possibility to exchange gifts with other families. Real-time crime data for each neighborhood. Direct access to family and child specialists and emergency lines.
The app was designed with 100 Fort Worth families in mind to ensure its relevance and usefulness. These 100 families from nine diverse Fort Worth neighborhoods met each month and spent more than 1,200 hours developing and designing features and functionality for the app.

The Parent Pass app is a shining example of what our city can do when we all work together to build a more connected community and a brighter future for every child and family.”
Launch celebration
To celebrate the launch of the Parent Pass app, The Best Place for Kids! is hosting a free event Oct. 8 at Dream Park, featuring games, bounce houses, giveaways, food and community partners offering activities for kids of all ages.
