Let your child be creative on Thursday
Let your kids unleash their inner artist at the LSU Museum of Art’s First Thursday Program for Toddlers this Thursday, September 1st.
In this Children’s Thursday, students will learn about portraiture and how to capture their image in their art. After learning, students will be able to create their own portraits on paper plates to take home and display.
Toddler Thursdays are every Thursday at 10am. The LSU Museum of Art is located at 100 Lafayette St.
Have fun on a Friday with the family
Come to Tin Roof Brewing Company this Friday, September 2nd for a night of family fun.
Family Night at Tin Roof has something for everyone, young and old. Kids can play on bounce houses, get their faces painted and make balloon animals. Parents can also get in on the fun by sampling seasonal beers and Louisiana food The Blues Cafe Bar & Grill’s Food Truck.
Family Night is 5-8pm Tin Roof Brewing Company is at 1624 Wyoming St.
Laugh with Ron White on Saturday
Get ready for a night of laughs at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel when Ron White (aka “Tater Salad”) takes the stage this Saturday, September 3rd.
White has entertained audiences as a comedian for over 30 years. Known as a comedic storyteller, he’s sure to share some hilarious life stories.
The show will start at 8:00 p.m. Tickets start at $70 and are available for purchase here. The Auberge Casino and Hotel is located at 777 L’Auberge Ave.

End the week with a new adventure downtown during First Sunday free this Sunday, September 4.
Participating museums, including the LSU Museum of Art, the Louisiana Museum of Art and Science, the Old Louisiana State Capitol and Magnolia Mound Plantation just outside of downtown, offer free admission.
