The Weekend: 31 Things to Do in Northern Rhode Island

Northern, RI – We know there’s a world outside of Northern Rhode Island where cities offer festivals, fairs and fun…but wouldn’t you rather stay close to home?

Welcome to The Weekend, where we list everything you can find to do in a three-city radius.

As we move into fall, many local businesses are changing their hours and Cady’s Tavern will be hosting the last bike night of the season. Brown & Hopkins will be hosting a Fall Open House for the opportunity to stock up and provide the opportunity to restock your seasonal needs, including Halloween decor.

Head to Harrisville on Saturday for the annual Green Festival and don’t forget to make stops in the area at the Jesse Smith Library for book sales and The Art Box Studio for upcycled craft making. Saturday is also Pascoag Community Baptist Church’s fall festival.

It’s opening weekend for the Burrillville Glocester Youth Soccer Association and the organization is still looking for volunteers for Saturday at 1407 Putnam Pike Chepachet. Sign up here.

On Sunday, a memorial service in Harrisville will mark the anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy, and later, locals can attend a classical music performance at the Grace Note Farm in Pascoag.

However you spend your time this weekend, we hope you enjoy it. If you happen upon these local greats, tell them NRI NOW sent you.
