The 11th Annual Lake George Oktoberfest kicks off Friday evening, Oct. 7, with live music, dancing, food, beer, wine, carnival rides, games and merchandise vendors. Activities will be centered in and around a large beer garden tent, which will be erected on Canada Street (State Route 9) in front of Shepard Park. Traffic will be diverted through back streets to allow revelers space. The festival continues until Sunday, October 9. Entry is free.
Vendors participating in the 2022 Lake George Oktoberfest will sell clothing, pet accessories, crafts, specialty coffees and artisan foods. In addition to Bavarian food sold in the beer garden, festival-goers can purchase food from participating food trucks, including Sammy’s Country Wagon and Alaturco Gyro. There will also be Italian ice cream, corn on the cob and other carnival favorites.

Metered parking ($2 per hour) is available on the streets surrounding Shepard Park and in public parking lots. This is a kid-friendly event and there will be rides, bounce houses and children’s activities. Well behaved and leashed dogs are welcome.
