With record temperatures in Marathon in recent weeks, snow cones were a welcome sight at City Council candidate Ingrid Tyree’s ‘Family Fun Day’ on September 10th. Hosted on the lot in front of the First Baptist Church of Marathon on 62nd Street, The Day featured four bounce houses, games and prizes, and cotton candy as the more than 200 attendees made short work of more than 300 hot dogs and snow cones “I couldn’t have asked for a better event. It was great to meet all the new families in town,” Tyree said. “It gave me so much joy to see these kids running around.”
