DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – The Quad Cities Hot Air Balloon Festival and Rhythm City Casino are proud to fill the skies with hot air balloons next weekend, August 12-13.
Cody Dorgan, organizer, informs viewers about how to attend and what to expect.
Doors will open on Friday, August 12 at 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 13 at 3:00 p.m. Admission to both days is free to all, but monetary donations to benefit Shriners Hospital for Children are appreciated, according to a news release.
Attendees can expect to see balloon launches at 6pm each evening with post-launch balloon rides at $20 per passenger.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to view the balloons comfortably. There will be food vendors, bounce houses for kids and a car show on August 13th only.
All activities depend on the weather. Launch and light times may be delayed or canceled due to weather.
