Building a Better Boyertown (BaBB) is excited to announce its 15th annual Oktoberfest taking place in the downtown Boyertown parking lot on Friday, September 23rd from 6:00pm to 10:00pm and Saturday, September 24th from 11:00 a. 10:00 pm (rain date: Sunday, September 25). Attendees will enjoy a family-friendly, German, fall event featuring beer, delicious food, music and entertainment, and a variety of craft vendors. Each year, this event attracts between 5,000 and 7,000 attendees and continues to grow in popularity.
Oktoberfest will offer activities for both children and adults! Kids can enjoy Leaf Creek Adventures’ bounce houses, face painting and gem mining. Adults can try ax throwing, tumblers and bowling. The following musical groups will perform during the weekend: 5th Street Remnants, Auerhahn Schuhplatter Verein German Dancers, German Alumni Band, Happy Dutchman German Band and Yodeling Dave Kline & His Mountain Folk Oktoberfest Band. We are excited to once again host the Oktoberfest Tasting Preview on Thursday, September 22nd from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Brakeman’s Café located at 56 S. Washington St., Boyertown, PA 19215. The debut of this event last year was a huge success. , and this year we will be expanding the pairings and offering a couple of new ones. We’re excited to be partnering with some great local breweries again, and attendees will be sampling 5 beers and a hard cider that will be available for purchase at the weekend’s Oktoberfest event. Each beer will be paired with a German-themed aperitif. Additionally, guests can add a dinner option of grilled bratwurst on a roll with sauerkraut and mustard served with German potato salad. Tasting tickets are $50 and dinner tickets are $18. Tickets are limited. The deadline to buy tasting tickets is September 14.
Attendance at Oktoberfest is free. Some activities may incur a fee. Beer Tent wristbands can be purchased for $5.00. Due to the compact nature of the event, only service dogs are allowed.
