The Florida Department of Health in Calhoun and Liberty County held a Summer Celebration at the Calhoun Airport on Saturday and the response was tremendous. Supported by local businesses and organizations, the event offered everything from a hot air balloon ride to free merchandise. It is estimated that around 3,500 people attended.
Food trucks and local vendors provided delicious food and snacks, health groups had valuable information available, youth had the opportunity to use a fire hose, play on bounce houses and enjoy yard games .
Visitors also enjoyed live entertainment and met some well-known athletes.
