Carb up, everyone, the Head Over Teal 5K and 10K Fall Festival returns on Saturday, September 24th for its 13th annual event, and it’s sure to be a great time for all! Not only does the race take place at the gorgeous Preserve in Hoover, but it benefits the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation’s mission to provide early detection research, awareness education and support services for gynecologic cancer patients and their families. 3. 2nd Festival of Culture + Community
Why go: Celebrate, encourage and support black-owned businesses in The Magic City with local vendors, a children’s fun zone, photo ops and live music. The event supports The Modern Green Book, a resource to help people find and learn about black-owned businesses or organizations and help them thrive.

4. Taste of 4th Avenue Jazz Festival
Why go: After a two-year hiatus, this lively event will feature local acts such as Deirdre Gaddis, Logan the Entertainer and The Official Clutch Band. See the lineup.

5. Back to school ’22
Why go: School is back in session. Kick off the new school year with rides, bounce houses, food + live entertainment.

Where: Patriot Park – Homewood
Cost: Free entry | $10 wristbands available for unlimited jumping and playing on rides or bounce houses. The revenue of the sale of bracelets benefit the gang of Homewood High School.

Why go: Join KultureCity for its ninth annual gala event to celebrate inclusion and raise funds for programs benefiting people with sensory needs + invisible disabilities.
