Picking the perfect pumpkin is a fall staple, and there are plenty of farms around the Twin Cities to visit this year.
Here are seven farms open now for U-pick pumpkins and other fun family activities.

Anoka County Farms in Lake Ham
What do they have: Weekends hay rides, farm animals, pumpkin bowling, corn pits and State Fair-inspired food trucks.Price: $5, cash only.
Crazy Legs Farm in Farmington
What do they have: Over 70 types of pumpkins, corn maze, pumpkin cannon and vine. The farm does not make wine, but guests can join in the fall harvest on some weekends.Price: Free entrance.
Degler Farm in Chanhassen
What do they have: Hay rides, corn maze, bonus corn maze for kids, giant slides and pumpkin cannon.Price: Free entry, with separately priced activities.
Dehn’s Pumpkin Patch in Dayton
What do they have: Corn maze, hay rides, bounce houses and concessions on site. Price: Entry to the pumpkin market is free; other rides range from $3 to $12.
Pinehaven Farm in Wyoming
What do they have: Wagon rides to the pumpkin patch, barnyard games, kid-sized zip lines and nine dinosaur sculptures for photo ops. Price: $13-$19 at the door, depending on the day. From 2 years free.
Pine apple orchard in the white bear lake
What do they have: Wagon rides, apple picking, corn maze, a bakery and live music on the weekends. Price: Free.
Waldoch Farm in the Lino lakes
What do they have: Corn maze, farm animals, garden center, on-site concessions, ropes course and more family activities. Price: $15-$18, depending on the day. Online ticket sales only.
Yes and: The Minnesota Zoo is popular Spectacular Jack-O-Lanternwith more than 5,000 carved pumpkins, it is now on display.
