SOCIAL BLOCK: Divine Trinity Temple Pentecostal Ministries, 500 Vine Ave. NE, Warren, will host a three-in-one social from 2-6pm today. The event will include a back-to-school supply giveaway, a distribution of pre-filled lunch boxes and free hot food, along with outdoor activities. There will be cold drinks, homemade ice cream, bounce houses for youngsters, water games, face painting, contests and prizes.
BACK TO SCHOOL: Warren Second Baptist Church will host “Back to School Sunday” Sunday at 10 am. There will be prayers for students, teachers, parents and staff from local school districts. Local educators will give presentations. Pastor Todd Johnson will give a blessing to all students and staff.
FIRST FRIDAY: The First Friday Club of Greater Youngstown’s 2022-23 speaker series season opens with a luncheon on the second Thursday in September.
Bishop David Bonnar of Youngstown will speak at noon Sept. 8 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road in Canfield. His subject is “My vision of a parish in the 21st century”, followed by a question and answer session.

MOVIE NIGHT: Agape Assembly Church, 426 Nevada Ave., Warren, will host an outdoor movie and game night Friday at 6 p.m. Admission and refreshments are free. Activities include basketball, kickball, cornhole and a bounce house. The movie will start at dusk. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by adults and guests are encouraged to bring blankets and high chairs.
OUTDOOR WORSHIP: The First Christian Church of Niles will host worship in the park at 10 a.m. Sunday at Waddell Park.
GOLDEN WONDERS: The Mighty Golden Wonders will perform in concert at 5pm on Sunday at St. John’s Ministries Church of God in Christ, 419 Highland Ave. SW, Warren.
