SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) -Vox shoes will play with 1,000 pairs of shoes on Saturday.
Vox Church will give away a thousand pairs of shoes on Saturday. The event will be at the Springfield Boys & Girls Club on Carew Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m
Shoes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
In addition to new shoes for the new school year, volunteers will distribute 500 backpacks filled with school supplies to any child in need.
“We love the boys and girls club, we’re really excited to partner with them. this is our second year doing this event and it’s growing and we were really excited to see what comes together,” said Dan Tedone.
This year’s event will also feature carnival-style activities, including bounce houses, cotton candy and popcorn.
