GREEN COVE SPRINGS, Fla. – Clay County will hold a free “Touch a Truck” community event Saturday at the Clay County Fairgrounds, featuring a two-hour “quiet” version for visitors with sensory sensitivities before the lights and sirens turn on at the 11 in the morning
The event takes place from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at the fairgrounds at 2497 State Road 16 West in Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.
The quiet time will be from 9 to 11 in the morning. The lights and sirens will be on from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will have municipal, county and state vehicles and equipment on display for families to get to know up close.
Visitors will have hands-on access to fire trucks, ambulances, cranes, a helicopter and more!
First responders and equipment operators will be there to answer questions and show how the vehicles are used every day in the community.
There will also be a free children’s activity area with water slides, bounce houses, bungee jumping and a climbing wall. Food trucks will offer kid-friendly meals for purchase.
