A fire destroys a home on Marrast Drive, east of Clarksville


CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A home in east Clarksville was destroyed in a fire Sunday afternoon.

Around 11:30 a.m., a home on Marrast Drive caught fire, according to Montgomery County EMA Director Ed Baggett. The house was completely engulfed when the firefighters arrived.

The owners were out of town and no one was injured. Baggett told Clarksville Now that the house was a total loss.

The volunteer fire departments of East Montgomery and St. Bethlehem responded, along with the rescue team.
