The Bubbler Foundation Festival will return Sunday to South Middleton Township Park in a slightly new time, but with most of the familiar features that have drawn a thousand people to the park.
The annual Labor Day fireworks will also take place on Sunday at dusk, and this year the stadium at Boiling Springs High School will be open to the public to view the fireworks.
Dallas Bailey, vice president of the Bubbler Foundation, said this year’s sixth annual Bubbler Foundation Festival will take place Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., a little earlier than the schedule of events from 1 to 5 p.m. past years
Regardless of this slight time change, the festival’s popular features will return, including face painting, a bubble machine, Touch-a-Truck with fire and police personnel, bounce houses and free snow cones. There will also be food trucks for those looking to buy food, and Steve Morrison and the Vibe will perform live music from 12:30 to 4 p.m.

The annual rubber duck regatta will also return and begin around 3 p.m. Participants can purchase rubber ducks in advance for $5 each or $20 for five.
There is no rain date for the event, and any information regarding a possible cancellation will be updated Facebook page of the Bubbler Foundation.
The event is one of the most important for the foundation, which helps support the students and community of South Middleton Township.
“Our mission is to try to provide to the community, and this is one of our community outreach events,” Bailey said. “We think we had about 1,000 people there last year and the weather held up. We’re hoping for another good forecast for the day.”
Bailey noted that the event would not be possible without a number of sponsors, including UPMC Carlisle, Crabtree Rohrbaugh & Associates, Orrstown Financial Advisors and American Legion Post 674 in South Mountain. Several Boiling Springs students will also be volunteering, including those from the Interact Club and students on the cheer and football teams.
