JACKSON, MI — Live music, food, vendors and more will fill downtown Jackson this weekend.
The second annual Downtown Days is set for the downtown area and Horace Blackman Park, 212 W Michigan Ave., Friday through Sunday, July 29-31.
The event is a collaboration between the Downtown Jackson Development Authority and downtown retailers, who planned the event on their own in 2021 to let people know that the COVID-19 pandemic is not on their side close, said Cory Mays, Jackson DDA executive director.
The three-day event kicks off Friday from 5-8pm with a classic car show, live entertainment and vendor booths.

Activities continue on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the business center offering sidewalk sales.
“You’re going to have drinks and snacks in their stores, and it’s going to be a great time for people to walk around and do a little shopping,” Mays said.
Local food trucks, pop-up vendors, bouncy houses, games, beer and wine tents and live music will fill the center Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can find a full list of participating vendors and food trucks at the Jackson Center Facebook page.
