DICKINSON — The Dickinson Food Truck Rodeo rolled through town today with a wide selection of delicious treats from 13 different trucks. It will be open from 11am to 8pm on Friday and Saturday, and will continue from 11am to 6pm on Sunday behind Prairie Hills Mall.
The exciting event invites Western Edge residents to pack up and head to the mall where they can enjoy food and family fun, with bounce houses for the kids on Saturday and Sunday.
It’s the end of the line for this year’s crunch round, which made seven more stops over the summer starting at Watford City. General admission is $3 and children under 10 get in free.
“I’m excited to be in Dickinson, there’s a lot to do this weekend,” said organizer Mike Schmitz.
From bubble tea to fried oreos and cheese fries, this food truck has it all.

There will be different daily competitions between the chefs, topped off with a bacon strip. Schmitz spent most of her childhood in Dickinson and said it always feels special to return to her hometown with delicious food from around the state.
Culinary offerings will range from county fair classics like cheese curds and mini fritters to more exotic offerings like Filipino cuisine and fried green olives.
The Filipino offerings are provided by a food truck owned and operated by Taylor’s wife Rose Mcmurty, who said her favorite dish is their beef spring rolls.
“I made beef because there are people who don’t eat pork. So I like to have something that everybody can have,” he said
The mall also hosts the Dakota Flea Market on Fridays from 1:00pm to 7:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00am to 4:00pm. It will feature a wide variety of baked goods, crafts, garage sale items and other treasures.
