CULLMAN, Ala. – Chambers Farm and Garden Supply held its second annual Fall Festival on Saturday, continuing its effort to bring the community and its customers together.
Judy Snead of Snead’s Farmhouse was the organizer of the event, which had a great turnout in its first year and an even bigger show this year.
In all, 63 vendors set up booths with crafts and food items for sale. There were loads of activities for children including face painting, bounce houses and a balloon artist. Eight different vendors brought animals to create a petting zoo with pigs, goats, ducks and chickens. Most of the vendors who participated in the festival are Chambers customers and supporters.
Owner Chris Chambers spoke about the inspiration for the event, saying, “This is just something the community needs to do and we give back and do it as a customer appreciation day. Our customers give us support and we couldn’t do it without them.”
Live music was performed by Chuck Carpenter, who also teaches at Tony’s School of Music.
Snead deemed the event a success, smiling, “We had more animals this year and we hope to expand with animals next year. We had a great turnout.”
