A variety of fall festivities will begin soon, including the ever-popular Pumpkins in October. Here are a few we found near us.
1. Parkridge Church Pumpkin Patch
When: September 30 to October 30
The pumpkin patch housed at Parkridge Church offers free admission to guests. All proceeds will go to the Parkridge Youth Ministry. Entry is free.
Patch Hours: Monday through Friday 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Sunday noon to 6:30 p.m.

2. Jack-o’-lantern pile
When: October 4 from 4 to 6 p.m
Jack-o’-lantern Stack hosted by Painting with a Twist invites guests to paint their own spooky canvas in a two-hour studio session. Drink, paint and leave the babies behind as you must be over 21 with a valid ID. Registration fee is $40 per canvas.

3. Haunted Hamptons
When: October 14 – 15, 21 – 22 and 28, doors open at 7 p.m. and close at 9 p.m.
The City of North Lauderdale’s Haunted Hamptons Festival returns in 2022, where attendees experience a Halloween themed event with tons of scares! General admission is $10, and a haunted fast pass is available for $15.

4. Boca Raton Pumpkin Festival
When: from October 15 to 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m
This event is for the whole family! A carnival, live music, food court, beer bars and more than 2,500 pumpkins will be at the center of the action. General admission is $25 for ages three and up. All tickets must be purchased in advance.

5. Deerfield Beach Fall Festival
When: October 15 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m
The city of Deerfield Beach hosts its ninth annual festival, where attendees can participate in pumpkin carving, archery, rides and live entertainment. Entry is free.

6. Ghostly gathering
When: October 18 from 6 to 7 p.m
The Parkland Library is hosting a spooky Halloween gathering for ages 8-11. Please wear your costume and visit the library for scary stories and arts and crafts. A Parkland library card is required to register.

7. The great pumpkin splash
When: October 19 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m
The City of Tamarac Pumpkin Splash is an event for the whole family, with pumpkin picking, water games, music and prizes. Tickets are $5 per person.

8. Margate Autumn Festival
When: October 22 from 6 to 11 p.m
The town of Margate will be holding its annual Autumn Festival, where attendees can enjoy activities such as line dancing, pony rides, haunted houses, costume contests (for all ages) and a tree-building contest. scarecrow! Entry is free.

9. Emotions and chills
When: October 22 from 4 to 9 p.m
The Coral Springs gym turns into a fall festival this Halloween. Activities include carnival games, pumpkin decorating and a costume contest. Admission is $5 for children (two and under) and $3 for adults.

10. Pumpkin park
Caroline Vreeland and Emma McNamara enjoy picking their favorites at the October 2021 Parkland Pumpkin Patch.
When: October 26 from 5 to 7 p.m
The Parkland Pumpkin Patch will feature a petting zoo, photo ops, face painting and more.

11. Halloween hoopla
When: October 28 from 6 to 8 p.m
Attendees can enjoy an all-ages event, music, bounce houses, arts and crafts and more. The first 500 children will receive a goodie bag. Entry is free.
