Free pizza: From 6:30pm to 8:00pm on October 12th and 14th, members of the Primavera Fire Department will travel along with local Domino’s pizza delivery people to question recipients about their smoke alarms.
If the alarms are functional and placed correctly, the pizza is free. If not, the Spring Fire Department will install new 10-year smoke alarms free of charge. More information about the Primavera Fire Department at www.springfd.org.

Humpback Musical: Class Act Productions presents The Hunchback of Notre Dame which opens October 14th and continues through October 23rd. Tickets start at $20.
Performances are at 7.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, as well as 2.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays until 23 October. Featuring songs from the Disney film featuring music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, the musical tells the story of bell ringer Quasimodo’s quest to be “out there.”

Training of referees: An organization called Protect the Game is offering speed referee training on three upcoming dates in the local area. Training is free for military veterans and their families.
Training events are 6:30-9:30pm on October 20 at the Marriot Houston City Place in Spring Woods Village; 2-7pm on October 21st at Collins Park in Cypresswood in the spring and 10am-2:30pm on October 22nd at Collins Park.

Cy-Fest Event: Lone Star College-CyFair presents its annual Cy-Fest from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on October 22nd on its campus.
This year’s event includes a pumpkin patch, arts and crafts, a book mobile, bounce houses and food trucks. The university’s academic and career departments will also demonstrate their certificates, degree programs and class offerings.

George Dearborne: George Dearborne Band will perform at 8.30pm on October 22nd at the Neon Boots Dancehall and Saloon. Online advance tickets are $15.
Dearborne began playing drums in the 1970s and by the 1990s was regularly appearing alongside other “Beaumont boys” at local concerts with Mark Chesnutt and Tracy Byrd. In 2020, he released Old Brown Bottle, an album recorded in Nashville.
