It Takes a Village is a fun safety and resource fair for people with disabilities and their families.
It takes a village for all families – and especially families that have a member with different abilities – to find community, feel connected and achieve a true sense of belonging. Join our community at Fire Station #1 to see exactly how much you care about this town. Local businesses will be present to create a fun experience for families, show their support and share resources.
The festival has been created and developed in a way that speaks to the unique experiences of families who have a differently-abled member. It Takes A Village will include bounce houses, fire station tours, games, bubbles, ponies and therapy dogs, touch a truck (emergency vehicles, classic cars), princesses, Star Wars characters and a photo booth professional Parents of differently-abled children will receive many resources as well as water safety and emergency preparedness tips for their family.
