A life-size traveling dinosaur exhibit will be making a stop in Salina this weekend at Tony’s Pizza Events Center.
From August 26-28, Jurassic Quest will occupy the entire facility, both the convention hall and the arena, with a variety of animatronic dinosaurs ranging from babies to full grown adults.
Three-day attendees a chance to see a wide range of creatures, from baby dinosaurs with trainers, to a massive 50-foot-long megalodon.
Dinosaur rides, bounce houses, dinosaur crafts, fossil digs and ancient ocean creatures will also be featured.
Marjorie Anderson, director of sales and marketing for Tony’s Pizza Events Center, said the expo is one of several family-friendly events the venue aims to offer to the community.
“This is perfect for our facility,” Anderson said. “With all the features of the exhibition, they have everything, it will take up the whole facility.”
Jurassic Quest is the largest dinosaur exhibit in North America, with activities for people of all ages. Some of the most popular dinosaurs featured in the exhibit are the Apatosaurus, Spinosaurus, T-Rex, and Raptors. The exhibition is self-guided and usually lasts about two hours.

How to get your tickets
Normally, Tony’s Pizza Events Center sells tickets for the events it hosts through its own website, but since Jurassic Quest is a national touring company, tickets must be purchased through their website at www.jurassicquest.com.
Entry options:
People over 65 = $19
Standard Adult = $22
Standard Child = $22 (ages 2-12)
Unlimited Kids = $36
Entry is free for children aged 2 and over.
Public hours:
From 9 a.m. to 8 p.m August 26 and 27
From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m August 28
Kids’ unlimited tickets include full access to the dinosaur rides, inflatables and fossil dig, along with everything included in the standard ticket.
There are no all-access tickets for adults as the rides have strict weight limits. Adult tickets are general admission and include access to dinosaur viewing and dinosaur shows and allow parents to accompany their child to activities and rides.
Standard admission includes five shows, arts and crafts activities, dinosaur and marine exhibits. Tickets for individual activities are also available on site.
Larger rides have a height requirement of 36 inches and all inflatable rides and attractions have a maximum weight limit of 140 pounds.
Jurassic Quest began touring in 2013, with the goal of providing visitors with as close a look as you can get to the giants that roamed the land and sea millions of years ago.
