ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) – A back-to-school celebration took place for Fulton County students Thursday at Love T. Nolan Elementary School.
The party was organized by a city councilwoman and was designed to help families struggling with inflation.
There was a book bag giveaway, bounce houses, snow cones and popcorn and a fire truck.
The bags contained masks, notebooks, pens and pencils.
At the end of the event, there will be a conversation between the City Council and the parents to review the expectations for the new school year.
The students’ first day of school is Monday.
