The Minot Area Council of the Arts (MACA) announces a partnership with the Domestic Violence Crisis Center and Independence Inc., two local non-profit organizations.
The Domestic Violence Crisis Center is looking for new women’s pajamas in all sizes with tags, and Independence Inc. look for new towels.
Tonight’s Downtown Thursdays will have a canopy tent outside the MACA office near the stage, collecting new towels and new women’s pajamas with the tags.
The event will be from 5:30 to 8:30 pm with free live music by Jessie Veeder and Chris Basden. There will be arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, bounces and ax throwing.
“Knowing that these two important organizations within our community needed supplies to help them in their ability to move people into better, more independent living situations showed us that we had an opportunity to help.” said Justin Anderson, MACA’s executive director.
