STURGIS — The Sturgis Downtown Development Authority will present another event this Friday, mainly on North Street.
Music in the North is from 5.30pm to 9pm on Friday 2nd September.
The event features the Showdown Band, food truck vendors and bounce houses for kids. Social District beverages will be available at Wings Etc.
DDA Events Coordinator Ryan Conrod said Showdown is not new to downtown Sturgis events. The band has played at car cruises and was the opening act at the Bike Night of Sturgis Fest.
Music on North is an annual event on the Friday of Labor Day weekend, Conrod said.
“It gives you something to do to start the long holiday weekend if you’re not traveling,” he said.
Conrod added that the DDA extends the summer as long as possible. The next and final event of the summer is a Summer’s End Classic Car Cruise scheduled for September 16th.
