The Seward County Sheriff’s Office will be participating with the National Faith and Blue, hosting their second Faith and Blue event this Sunday, October 9th. The Seward County Sheriff’s Office, Liberal Police Department and other area first responders will participate in a Dodgeball Tournament. The event will begin with food and drinks for the community at 4:00 PM in the SCCC amphitheater, as well as a meet and greet with all the teams before the game begins. There will also be bounce houses and face painting on site. During the games at the Hivernacle, there will be lots of door prizes for kids and adults that have been donated through our local businesses.
To receive a prize ticket, bring a non-perishable food item to pick up during the meet and greet (one ticket per person). All donated goods will be distributed to food banks in our area.
The goal of this event is to bring law enforcement closer to the community by bridging the gap through our law enforcement agencies, 1st Responders, local schools, businesses and churches.
