September 21 — STARK COUNTY — A charitable group affiliated with the Stark County Deputies Association called
Friendly Hearts Project
will host Kind Hearts Day at the Stark County Fairgrounds from 11am to 3pm on Saturday, September 24th.
Free hot dogs and fries will be available, as well as free cotton candy and snow cones courtesy of Entertainment Explosion. Food vendors including Just Greek It and 3J’s Kettle Corn will be selling food on site as dozens of area first responders mingle with attendees.
The Kind Hearts Project will provide free backpacks to up to 450 children in attendance, with ample opportunities for fun in the form of bounce houses and inflatable obstacle courses on site.
The primary organizer of the event is Marina Marsh, Office Specialist for the Stark County Sheriff’s Office and daughter of Stark County Commissioner Bernie Marsh.
“The Kind Hearts Project is basically the community supporting the community. Everyone wants to help, but most people think that one person can’t make a big difference,” Marsh said. “A small donation seems daunting to some people, but when small donations add up it makes a big impact.”
All proceeds are donated to the Stark County Deputies Association, which determines how funds can best help families and children in Stark County.
The association will also collect direct donations of non-perishable food items for local food pantries at the event.
