This is one we are proud of. Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce Business Advocacy Council has partnered with Woodlands Online to present a non-partisan, all-candidates, live, live show. Candidate forum and debate today from 4 to 7 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place at Sam Houston State University – The Woodlands Center, 3380 College Park Dr. Hear from candidates running for Tomball ISD Board of Trustees, Lone Star Groundwater Conservation District Board of Directors, Montgomery County District 3 Justice of the Peace, Conroe ISD Board of Directors (in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Conroe/Lake Conroe) and the Woodlands Township Board of Directors. For those unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed live on the Woodlands Online site and page.

A comprehensive annual event here in The Woodlands during Breast Cancer Awareness Month is the Lunch at the Pink of Health hosted by Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. The lunch changes lives by raising funds to reduce the incidence of breast and ovarian cancer and help survivors on their journey. Join them for the 22nd Annual Luncheon at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

There may be a few fall festivals going on right now, but one that really stands out is the inaugural one Nelson Farms Fall Festival. This great party has something for the whole family, including face painting, sack races, pumpkin painting, animal feeding (mini horse, pigs, goats and more), bounce houses, food trucks and the chance to sink Texans player Steven Nelson into a breakout tank! Operation Pets Alive host one HOWL O’Ween Festival for families (Including a pet parade and dog costume contest) for the whole animal-loving family. At North Shore Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be a children’s bouncy house, entertainment, food vendors, shopping vendors, fishing derby, dog agility demonstration, face painting, sale of oven, silent auction. All proceeds benefit the rescue group Operation Pets Alive, which helps find FURever homes for Montgomery-area animals in need, gets hundreds of feral cats spayed and neutered each year, has a low-cost spay and neuter program for the public and provides education. about the benefits of spaying and neutering as well.
