Check out the return of Santa Liberata’s Italian fiesta to Patchogue

The annual Santa Liberata Italian Feast Festival is back in Patchogue this weekend.

In addition to the parade and street fair, the Greater Patchogue Cultural Heritage Committee’s annual festival is known for the statue of Santa Liberata, which a procession delivers to Patchogue’s Four Corners. There, attendees point money at the statue, which this year was donated to two local Catholic churches, Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Santa Francesca de Sales.

After the parade, guests enjoyed a live show, played in the annual petanque tournament and participated in a zeppole eating contest, among other fun activities. Meanwhile, the kids jumped on bounce houses and got their faces painted.

Steve Fuoco, a former Patchogue Village Trustee, longtime chamber member and active Patchogue Rotary member, was honored as Grand Marshall at this year’s event.

The Fuoco family is known for their deep ties to the Patchogue community and their dedication to Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck. Through various efforts, including the annual Steve Fuoco Fuoco Golf Festival, family, friends and partner organizations have raised and donated more than $2 million to the camp for children with special needs.
