ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) – It was all about Italy in Ishpeming on Saturday for the 123rd annual Italian Festival. The event was organized by the Sant Roc – Sant Antoni Society.
Hundreds gathered at the Al Quaal Recreation Area, where there were local vendors, live music and, of course, pasta. There were even attractions for the kids, like bounce houses and pony rides.
This was the first time in three years that the event was held in person, with no event in the past two years due to COVID-19.
“That really makes this that much more special for everyone, and we’re excited for people to come and enjoy the day,” said the president of St. Rocco – St. Anthony, Jim Bertucci.
The St. Rocco – St. Anthony Society is already looking forward to hosting the 124th annual Festa Italiana at Al Quaal next year.
