Local businesses invited to register at Brookline Day booths, sponsorships

As the city of Brookline prepares to celebrate its annual Brookline Day next month, local businesses are invited to sign up for booths, tables and sponsorships for the celebration.

“Brookline Day aims to celebrate the community as a great place to live, work and play, while fostering connection between residents, neighbors and businesses,” according to a statement from the Brookline Recreation Department.

Brookline Day is scheduled for Sunday, September 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Coolidge Corner.

The event will include food, prizes, live music and children’s activities, including bouncy houses, face painting and a Touch-a-Truck event, according to the release.

The city’s Department of Recreation and Division of Economic Development will host a virtual information session for local businesses on Aug. 16 at 9 a.m.

“Participants in the virtual information session will learn about opportunities and best practice tips for their company’s participation in Brookline Day,” the release said.

The session registration page is available at brooklinema.zoomgov.com/webinar/register/WN_qsIxmRxYQcyzowNchTWs8g.

The annual Brookline Day celebration, which began in 2012, is set to return in September after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

In past years, Brookline Day was held at Larz Anderson Park, but this year it will move to Coolidge Corner to help support local businesses.
