Sturgis Downtown Development Authority presents a “Summer Car Cruise in & Eats” event from 5:30 to 9 pm Friday.
The event features many things including classic cars, food trucks, acoustic musicians, “Movies on North” and a Kids Korner.
Sturgis DDA event coordinator Ryan Conrod said those interested in participating in the classic car cruise are invited to bring their cars and park in downtown Sturgis parking spots on US-12. No need to register.
Food trucks will be on North Street as will the movie, a screening of “Oz The Great and Powerful” at 7 p.m.
Acoustic musicians will be on Pleasant Street, outside the Open Door Gallery and outside the Strand Theater and will include Marjorie Shelito, Ben Prowett and Ben Johnson.
The Kids Korner is a new aspect of the event, Conrod said, and will include two bounce houses, two face painters and a balloon artist.
“It’s a good time to come out,” he said of downtown Sturgis. “And to visit some downtown businesses as well.”
