Allen’s Lawn Care and Lil Bro’s Smoke Shop hosted a bag raffle and fun day Saturday afternoon at Perkins Park in Warren just in time for the back-to-school season.
With record inflation and rising costs of goods, parents welcomed free bags full of school supplies for their children,
Meanwhile, children welcomed the fun activities on offer throughout the afternoon, including bounce houses, free food and drinks.
Event organizer Marque Allen tells 21 News the goal of this event was just to give back to the community.
“We just wanted to give back to the community, doing haircuts, braids for girls [and] we’re going to raffle off a few pairs of tennis shoes,” Allen said.

The organizers thanked everyone who helped and volunteered to make this event a success.
