Skim Jam, Friday Fest, Kill the Kegs, Pups & Brews and free summer movies are the main events and things to do this weekend.

Indian River County

Mulligan’s Skim Jam

Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mulligan’s Beach House/Sexton Plaza, 1025 Beachland Blvd., Vero Beach. The 15th annual event is the world’s largest one-day skimming competition. Sign in during the bike meeting 8-9am The first heat is on the water at 9am The official awards ceremony and after party will be at Walking Tree Brewery at 5pm. Proceeds benefit the Vero Beach Lifeguard Association. Raffles begin on the beach and prizes will be announced later in the day at the brewery (no need to be present to win). Friday Fest

5:30-8:30pm Friday Marina Square, 1 Avenue A, Fort Pierce Kick off the three-day Labor Day weekend with the longest running street party on the Treasure Coast. Includes food and drink, music, arts and crafts, bounce houses, face painting and fairy hair. Free entrancemainstreetfortpierce.org

Kill the barrels

Saturday, 6-9 p.m. Pierced Ciderworks, 411 N. Second St., Fort Pierce. Enjoy 10 exclusive flavors and unlimited tastings until the barrels run dry.
