Imagine with a bus. It’s not one of those new buses with TV and wifi. No, this is one of those old buses with uncomfortable seats and a crying baby right behind you. And you’ve been on that bus, halfway across the country, for three days without a break or a gas station burrito. Are you ready to get out there, stretch those legs and have some fun?
This is how we are right now as we step out of the COVID world and into the sun. Oh yes, that’s right. we forgot People come together for food, fun, music and shopping. And now is the time!
The Apple Pumpkin Festival is back! Created by the Jay-Livermore-Livermore Falls Chamber of Commerce and on Saturday, September 24th, rain or shine, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Livermore Falls Recreation Fields, the APF will bring back all your favorites . Eat burgers and fries, listen to local music, and play on bouncy houses, not necessarily in that order. Craft vendors will line the field, so check out the craft offerings and talk to your local volunteers.

Kids want dessert, and we’ll have dessert, with candy available from many vendors! We’re ready for popcorn and a rootbeer float! Kids of all ages are sure to have fun at the square again, fire trucks and robotics demonstrations. I mean, dessert is enough, but dessert and games?
This year, take a ride in the seat belt simulator to experience a minor car accident. It’s a wild ride. Do this before you eat.
Looking for something a little bolder? We’re bringing, for the first time, ax throwing! You read it right. If you’ve never thrown an axe, now’s your chance! There is little more satisfying than the solid touch of a sharp steel blade on the target. Count your fingers before and after.
It’s been a long ride in a sad, overcrowded bus. But you made it to September in Maine. Come and enjoy it with us!
