Between Haunted World and Requiem, Treasure Valley is hardly lacking when it comes to man-made haunted houses. But do they make your skin crawl as much as the real deal?

The beautiful house The website is a digital arm of a home design magazine that has been in print for over 125 years. Big 7 Trip is a travel blog designed to save tourists from spending countless hours reading reviews on TripAdvisor, Foursquare or Google Reviews.
Although their missions are radically different, the two publications can agree on two things: one of the most haunted houses in America is located in Idaho, and this house is just minutes from downtown Boise. It is important for a few reasons.
First, they disagreed about the most haunted houses in our neighboring states of Washington, Nevada, Montana, and Wyoming. Second, inns and hotels seemed like fair game for this list. This means that the Boise house in question looks more haunted than the Hotel Idaho in Silver City that is believed to be haunted by two men who died in a shootout outside the hotel’s gates and the former owner, who killed himself in the lounge after discovering he had cancer.
It is more haunted than the Gooding University Inn? The former Idaho State Tuberculosis Hospital is now a VRBO rental. There are enough unexplained facts that it caught the attention of Travel Channel’s Zak Bagans, who filmed an episode of Ghost Adventures there.

Naturally, such a gruesome murder can give rise to many urban legends about the home. Many believe the ghost of Preston Murr, the man who was killed there, haunts the dilapidated house. Others claim to have seen a ghostly female figure in 1800s-style clothing lurking in the window. The house was built in 1910, so it is quite possible that there is a ghost in old clothes lurking in the halls.
