The sixth Marseille Renaissance Fair is this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. near the baseball fields west of the Marseille pool. It is the first time in two years that the fair has been held due to the pandemic. But it’s not like a typical summer carnival with bounce houses and parades. Kathy Kocher, a member of the Tourism and Parks Committee, says the event will feature many craft vendors. They include a leather tool maker and taxidermists.
He also says there will be entertainment from a singing duo, a woman with dragon puppets and two brothers who work with fire. Food such as turkey legs, lemon shakes and flavored popcorn will also be served. It is free and open to the public. All participants in the event will also be dressed in period clothing.
