(ST. LOUIS, MO) In honor of Domestic Violence Prevention Month, a Jadasa Walk/Run will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at Bellefontaine Park , at 9565 Bellefontaine Road, St. Louis, MO 63137. Jadasa is a non-profit organization that provides anti-violence education, workshops and services to women, girls and their families. Congresswoman Cori Bush, the district attorney for St. Louis Wesley Bell, Brent Roam, pastor of One Family Church, Rene Howitt, CEO of Cope 24, Bellefontaine Neighbors Mayor Tommie Pearson and Cynthia R. Bennett, founder and CEO of Jadasa.
“We are excited to host the Jadasa Walk/Run to help those who have survived, are experiencing, or have witnessed intimate partner or family violence,” said Cynthia R. Bennett, Jadasa Founder and CEO.

“Approximately 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. 1 in 7 women and 1 in 25 men have been injured by an intimate partner. Domestic violence it’s a crisis that greatly affects all of our communities,” Bennett said.
The Jadasa Walk/Run features food, a live DJ, survivor stories, bounce houses, fitness, a self-defense demonstration and prizes. This event will also feature community resources from Regions Bank, Affinia Health, the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, St. Louis County Health Department. Louis, Crime Victims Center, Safe Connections, YWCA, Townsend Defense, Fit Drive, Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Youth 180, St. Louis Metropolitan Police DART Division, Alive, Community Response, Bikers Against Child Abuse and Shay’s Essential.
