The Pets in the Park event hosted by the Pets Fur People organization in Tyler, TX every year and I’m so excited for it to come on Saturday. We all know pet overpopulation is a serious problem, especially here in East Texas, so we need to support these animal shelters as much as possible. The Pets in the Park event is free to attend and great fun for the whole family, including your furry family members.
We encourage you to join in the fun this Saturday, October 1stSt in Bergfeld Park from 10:00, but you can drop by anytime before 3:00 p.m. There will be several events throughout the day, and you won’t want to miss all the pet-friendly vendors offering all kinds of treats for the pets in your life. In addition, for the children there will be bounce houses, face painting and a children’s craft station.
Pet events in the park you don’t want to miss
There will be pet contests, so if your pets wear a costume there are some chances to win great prizes. The ever-popular Weiner Dog Races are not to be missed; they are very fun to watch. Additionally, $25 microchipping and $10 nail clippings will be available at the Pets in the Park event.
Just a few pet rules to attend
We encourage all pets to attend, but a rabies vaccination is required, owners must pick up after their pets, we ask that they walk on a leash and have good social manners. Cats are welcome to attend, but with so many dogs in attendance attend at your own risk. The event is sponsored by Pet Supplies Plus, we hope to see you on Saturday!
