Shaggy students who need to clean up before classes start on Monday have two options this weekend for a fresh, free cut. Both events come with lots of extras including horse rides, school supplies and loads of other giveaways.
Southwest Day at the Southwest Community Center kicks off Saturday with a Love Walk hosted by the Big Homie Foundation. Come out with your sweet signs to bring positivity to students and neighbors.
Walkers will go from the community center to the corner of Geyer Springs and Baseline, then return to the snow cones, bounce houses, school supplies, horseback rides, food, pool party and haircuts offered at the Southwest Community Center starting at 11:30 a.m
Or head to War Memorial Park from 10 am to 2 pm for the Family Fun Fest. Don’t tell the children in advance, but you can inform them there about the vaccinations required for school. Plus free food and haircuts.
