Seeking to spread as much love as possible among neighbors, Impact Cares travels across the United States in search of those most in need.

The group often lands in a community, raises some volunteers, and works to meet as many needs of its neighbors as possible. On August 13, Impact Cares had a banner day at the Cedar Mountain Mobile Home Community in Craig with 28 locals coming out to volunteer alongside the Impact team to work and serve the neighborhood.

Among these participants were groups from Young Life, New Creation Church and Craig Mennonite Church.

For the job, adults and children teamed up with Cedar Mountain Impact employees and residents, working around the clock to accomplish as much as possible.

According to the organizers, Athletics also came out strong with a large group of eager workers.

With their help and more, the day saw a house door replaced, three houses painted, a roof stained, a large new roof and siding replaced. The workers also built blessing boxes.

In addition, Young Life teamed up with Impact Cares to provide a fun day for the kids as well. They had a bike rodeo, a bounce house and snow cones were provided to keep all the volunteers cool.

Impact Cares also donated 45 backpacks to children in the communities for their next school year.

“It’s days like that, a hard day’s work to meet the needs of others, that give us a much-needed reminder that when we devote our efforts to the most important things in life, loving our neighbors, everyone is blessed and communities become stronger,” said Tory Wilson of Impact Cares.

Impact Cares isn’t over either. The group will be at Lamplighter Estates on Saturday to do more volunteer work. For more information, go to ImpactMHCares.com.
