During the spring session, State Representative Tony McCombie (Savannah) passed House Bill 4766, which marks each August 1st as Sweet Corn Appreciation Day in Illinois. In honor of sweet corn and what it means to Illinois, Representative McCombie will host a Sweet Corn Celebration.
“Like millions of others in Illinois, sweet corn reminds us of summer and fun family memories.” McCombie said.
Savanna will be celebrating Sweet Corn Appreciation Day on August 1st! This is a family fun event with bounce houses, face painting and of course candy corn.
