FOWLERVILLE, Mich. (WILX) – A great event for veterans took place on Saturday featuring over 50 veteran specific resource providers.
The event was called VETFEST and was organized by VETLIFE.

Saturday’s VETFEST was the largest free veteran event in the state of Michigan, according to the nonprofit.
In 2022, they celebrated women veterans and asked residents to submit the name of someone they know to be recognized. Representatives from Consumers Energy and Ford handed out challenge coins to recognize veterans.
Joshua Parish, co-founder of VETLIFE, told News 10 what he hopes attendees can get away with.
“I hope when they walk through the doors, they have a ton of questions about their resources,” Parish said. “… and when they come out of this event I hope they have all their questions answered and I hope they connect to the benefits they deserve from their military service.”
Attendees also enjoyed live bands and food vendors. Meanwhile, the children were able to enjoy the bounce houses and looking at the military vehicles on display.
There was also a draw for backpacks for up to 200 school-aged children.
