METRO DETROIT — As the calendar turns to September, it’s time for fall festivals, food trucks, pumpkins and more fall-themed fun.
From live music to pumpkin spice food and drinks, Metro Detroit will have no shortage of festivals for residents to enjoy in the coming months. Here’s a look at what’s planned for the Detroit metro area this fall:
Detroit Harvest Fest and Food Truck Rally: The festival will be held on October 1st and 2nd from 11am to 8pm at the Dequindre Cut Greenway in downtown Detroit. The festival features more than 60 food trucks, six musical stages and fun Harvest Festival activities for the whole family. Admission is $5 at the door and free for children 3 and under.
Detroit Beer Festival: The festival will be held on October 22nd from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Detroit’s Eastern Market. One of Michigan’s largest beer tastings featuring over 1,000 craft beers from 120 Michigan breweries, plus food from area restaurants, all served in the Eastern Market.
Pumpkin Carving in Downtown Dearborn: Pumpkin carving activities will be held on October 29 at Wagner Park in West Downtown Dearborn from 11 am to 1 pm and East Downtown Dearborn City Hall Park from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Michigan Fall Fest 2022 Lake Orion: The festival is on September 24th and 25th in the grounds of Canterbury Village located behind Canterbury Castle. Welcome fall with fresh cider and donuts from Yates Cider Mill, classic kids games all weekend including pumpkin bowling and pumpkin tic-tac-toe. Special performance Sunday by Clark Lewis Juggling Stunt Show. Lots of other activities like hay bale pyramid, pumpkin decorating, bounce houses, petting zoo and more.
Northville Heritage Festival: The festival takes place September 16-18 in downtown Northville. Enjoy local school student programming, a Victorian saloon (beer store), non-profit booths, kids’ zone, parade, pancake breakfast, car show, craft booths, historic tours at the Ford valve plants, horse and carriage tours, vintage baseball, street entertainment and more.
Ferndale Fall Festival 2022: the festival will take place on October 1st from 11am to 3pm at Ferndale’s Martin Road Park Activity Center, located at 1615 E Lewiston Ave. The festival will feature face painting, pony rides, roller skating, food for sale, hayrides and photographs. playhouse, climbing wall, trick-or-treat trail.
Plymouth Autumn Festival 2022: The festival will be held in downtown Plymouth from September 9-11 and includes live music, carnival rides, car show, bingo, barbecue chicken, spaghetti dinner, pancake breakfast and more. Festivals open on Fridays from noon until 10pm. Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm Presents: Stone Wall Pumpkin Festival: The festival is on October 8 from 10 am to 9 pm at the Rochester Hills Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, located at 1005 Van Hoosen Road. Daytime activities include food, pumpkin bowling, live entertainment, crafts, Yates Cider Mill cider and donuts. There is also pumpkin carving and a nighttime lighting of the pumpkins from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
Troy Family Daze: The festival will take place September 15-18 at the Troy Civic Center, located at 500 W Big Beaver Rd, and features free entertainment, a giant midway, talent shows, food and community booths, crafts/games/drink area ‘children’s entertainment, fireworks. and more
