Mountain biking with chairlift access offered at Dodge Ridge

For the first time in Dodge Ridge Mountain Resort’s 71-year history, the Central Sierra destination will open the mountain to mountain biking with chairlift access on Saturday and Sunday, August 13 and 14, 2022. On the day of opening, Saturday, August 13 at 9 a.m., when the elevators start turning, there will be a contest to see who can get the first chair for the start of the inaugural season preceded by a ribbon cutting and official commemoration of the moment.

Dodge Ridge Mountain Bike Park will operate every Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM through the end of October (weather permitting) and will evaluate Mountain Bike Park operations for November based on conditions in that moment Single-day tickets for the inaugural season will be just $49 for ages 13 and up or $39 for kids 12 and under. Mountain Bike Season Passes will also be available for just $199 and $139 respectively, with Mountain Bike Season Pass discounts available for 2022/23 Dodge Ridge Winter Season Pass holders. All riders will descend from the top of the Motherlode 3 chairlift at 7,400 feet. lift and traverse across the mountain with nearly five miles of freeride rollers and benches for beginners/lower intermediates available on opening day. Crews at Dodge Ridge are also hard at work on both an intermediate technical trail and an intermediate freeride trail that are currently under development and are scheduled to be completed shortly after opening weekend. Additional trail construction is planned for the summer and fall, introducing more intermediate to advanced trails with approximately nine miles planned for this season. For the opening weekend festivities, the mountain will feature live music on both Saturday and Sunday, along with bike shop booths and other industry vendors handing out swag and showcasing their best on the Base Camp Bar terrace + grill There will also be promotions and giveaways to score as the weekend of events adds to the summer activities that have been going on all summer at Dodge Ridge, such as disc golf with chairlift access, picnicking and hiking, along with yoga classes and bounce houses for kids. The newly transformed menu at the resort’s Base Camp Bar + Grill will also feature BBQ cuisine and a smoker along with free live music every Saturday and Sunday, including a full slate of free summer backyard games like now cornhole, ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, horseshoes, giant Jenga and more.
