INDIANAPOLIS — The TURN Festival, Transforming Urban Neighborhoods, is a free, fun, educational community event focused on urban sustainability. The sixth annual TURN Festival returns to Indianapolis on Saturday, September 24th from noon to 6pm at the Paramount School of Excellence, 3020 Nowland Ave.
The day will be filled with workshops, hands-on demonstrations, speakers and other sessions that help teach a variety of topics focused on teaching sustainability, beekeeping, family gardening, food preservation, health and wellness, cooking , zumba, cycling and much more. There will be face painting, live music, bounce houses and live animals.
This festival is presented by Paramount Schools of Excellence in partnership with Purdue Polytechnic, Purdue Extension of Marion County, Keystone, Community Health Network, SKO., Trajectory, Kaiser Press, Executive Image, RHB Resources and Comfort Systems USA Indiana.
Any proceeds from the festival will benefit Paramount’s urban farm, environmental education and Summer STEAM (Success Through Education Agriculture and Mentoring) programs.
