The Parker Group, a local real estate company, will host PG Field Day from 12-5pm on Sunday, August 28 at the Revelation Brewery Beer Garden in Hudson Fields.
PG Field Day is a charitable community event designed to provide the feel of a primary school field day, with a grown-up twist. The event will feature a cornhole tournament hosted by the Delaware Cornhole, a parade and car show, a dog adoption event, a vendor fair with lawn games, face painting, bounce houses, drinks from Revelation Brewing and several local food trucks. The event is free to attend and the cost to register for the cornhole tournament is $60. Cornhole teams can pre-register at Scoreholio.com or in person on the day of the event.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Colestrong Foundation, a local charity dedicated to helping raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research. The Foundation’s volunteers strive to advocate for the lives of teenagers diagnosed with cancer and the siblings of children who have been diagnosed. The organization was founded by the Willey family after their son Cole’s experience of being diagnosed as a teenager with Pre B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. As Cole is the youngest of four children, the Willeys know first hand the impact that a cancer diagnosis has on the whole family.
