REPUBLIC, Mich. (WLUC) – Things are about to get great in Republic.
The city hosts the Retro Days of Republic, an event to highlight a decade of history each year.
This year, the theme is the 1960s. The event started in August, but some activities were rescheduled due to the weather. All outdoor activities including the fun run, parade, bounce houses, slide, classic car show and Rainbow Flyte are now scheduled for Saturday, September 17th.
Organizers say the event will be far and away.
“It just makes us enjoy each other,” said Leslie Hurst, a member of the Retro Days of Republic Event Planning Committee. “Remembering, looking back at our history, looking with excitement at what we can keep. It just brings the community together and brings people to the small town of Republic.”
