The Association of Poinciana Villages (APV) Lifestyle Department presents its Back to School Party Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Poinciana Community Center (445 Marigold Ave.)
This free family fun event includes a laser and bubble show. There will be backpack giveaways (300 backpacks, child must be present, while supplies last), bounce houses, food trucks, a DJ dance party, vendors and more. Don’t forget to stop by the Kids Zone for games, face painting, craft tables and balloon artists. Seller spaces may still be available. For provider information, go to https://bit.ly/3IMsMiB.
The Polk County Bookmobile will also be at the “Bash.” Poinciana families will have the opportunity to sign up for a library card and check out books and movies.
Back to School Open Houses for all Osceola County schools will be held on the following dates: Friday, August 5 — high schools (including Osceola County School of the Arts), from 4 to 7 p.m.; Monday, August 8: All high schools and K-8 schools from 4 to 7 p.m.; Tuesday 9 August: all primary schools from 3pm to 6pm. As a reminder, Osceola County students will begin classes on Wednesday, August 10th.
